The lowest winning score occurred between the Miami Dolphins and Washington Redskins on January 14, 1973. The final score was Miami Dolphins 14, Washington Redskins 7.
Highest Winning Score
On the other hand, the highest winning score goes to the San Francisco 49ers on January 28, 1990. They defeated the Denver Broncos 55 to 10 in Super Bowl XXIV, at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans. This was also the largest margin of victory to date.
The Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots are tied for appearances in the most Super Bowl games at eight games a piece.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have won a total of 6 Super Bowl rings, making them the franchise to beat.
The Denver Broncos hold the record for most Super Bowl losses at 5 games.
During the first Super Bowl in 1967, a 30-second commercial would cost about $40,000. Now, in 2016, CBS set the base rate for a 30-second advertisement at $5,000,000, a record high price for a Super Bowl ad.
